Clark County Fall Successes

Most of the posts in this Blog focus on the economy or commercial real estate. I was struck over the weekend by the volume of articles in the Columbian that highlighted local High School athletic successes.   Congratulations are in order for a whole group of Clark County High School student athletes and coaches.

As we‘ve moved deeper into the school year the fall sports are all well into Playoffs, Regional and State competitions  Here are some teams that have been achieving great results.

How about the Camas girls cross country team with a State Championship, led by Alexa Efraimson   who took first place.  Prairie’s girls team took fourth and River’s boys team took eighth.

In Girls soccer – Camas,Union,Columbia River and Hockinson all won soccer playoff games.

In District Titles Columbia River took home Championships in both Swimming and Volleyball.  Tim Martinez in his Columbian sports page column highlighted both Columbia River and Camas as having an outstanding fall season in multiple sports.

Friday was a memorable  night for football as teams across the County advanced – Camas, Union, Columbia River and La Center all  had solid victories, and Kingsway scored 72 points in their win.

There is lots more action this week – with soccer games cranking up Wednesday, State Volleyball tournaments Friday and three Football games being hosted here Saturday.
